Legislative Limits: The AI Act as Stop-Deviation
The global race to regulate Artificial Intelligence is often framed as a technical challenge—ensuring safety, transparency, and data privacy. But at SYKAE, we view legislation through a more profound lens: Stop-Deviation. If law does not define the limits of machine integration, humanity will inevitably deviate from its Original State into a state of synthetic dependency.
The Concept of Stop-Deviation
Deviation occurs when human cognition, emotion, and spiritual agency are outsourced to algorithms. Over time, the "profound you" becomes a passenger in a machine-driven life. Legislative frameworks like the AI Act must act as a hard firewall—not just to stop physical harm, but to stop this gradual erosion of human essence.
Why Current Regulations Fall Short
Most current AI acts focus on the "what"—what the machine does. They rarely address the "who"—who the human becomes in the process. When an AI writes our messages, chooses our partners, or manages our internal moods, the machine is technically "safe," but the human has deviated. Regulation must move beyond safety and toward the preservation of human sovereignty.
The "Red Line" of Cognitive Sovereignty
We propose that international law establish a "Red Line" for cognitive sovereignty. This line would strictly prohibit AI systems designed to perform "empathy-replacement" or "intuition-override." When we allow a system to simulate empathy or dictate intuition, we are allowing the law to sanction the hollowed-out version of the human experience.
Legislating the Original State
Legislation should incentivize "augmentation" over "replacement." True augmentation leaves the human at the center of the experience, using the tool to expand their own conscious capacity. Replacement, however, moves the human to the periphery. The goal of any modern AI Act must be to ensure that technology serves as a ladder for the human spirit, rather than a cage.
